Community Impact GrantsThe Community Impact Grants Program awards grants on a competitive basis across specific subject areas including Arts & Culture, Science & Technology, Environment, Health & Human Services, and Civil Society. The Community Impact Grants program is driven by our mission statement, our values, and a focus on results that will bring lasting benefits to each community in our county. The deadline for submitting grant applications was February 19, 2008. Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2008 Community Impact Grant Cycle. The 4SRanch~Del Sur Community Foundation GrantsThe 4SRanch~Del Sur Community Foundation is an affiliate of The San Diego Foundation (TSDF) that provides leadership to increase, encourage and inspire effective charitable giving for the benefit of 4S Ranch and the surrounding communities. The mission of the 4SRanch~Del Sur Community Foundation is to build an endowment to benefit individuals, organizations and businesses in 4S Ranch and the surrounding communities now and forever. The deadline for submitting grant applications was March 3, 2008. Applications are no longer being accepted. The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation GrantsThe Carlsbad Charitable Foundation Grants meet Carlsbad’s emerging needs by encouraging and increasing responsible and effective philanthropy; by building a Carlsbad community endowment; by providing funds annually to Carlsbad organizations and causes; and by giving the Carlsbad community a vehicle for legacy planning and gifts that will benefit Carlsbad now and forever.
The deadline for submitting grant applications was November 30, 2007. Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2007 Grants Cycle.

To view the Grant Guidelines click here. San Diego Social Venture PartnersThe San Diego Social Venture Partners (SDSVP) Fund was established at The San Diego Foundation in the Spring of 2001. It is pioneering the concept of venture philanthropy, a new way of giving in the San Diego region. SDSVP is based on a philanthropy model developed in 1997 by Social Venture Partners, Seattle. Their very successful model has led to approximately 20 other cities organizing their own funds based on the Seattle SVP approach. SDSVP seeks to develop philanthropy and volunteerism to achieve positive social change in the San Diego region. Using the venture capital approach, SDSVP is committed to giving time, money and expertise to create more effective and sustainable non-profit organizations. The San Diego Women's FoundationThe San Diego Women’s Foundation (SDWF), a supporting organization of The San Diego Foundation, educates and inspires women to engage in significant and sustainable philanthropy to strengthen the San Diego region. The San Diego Women's Foundation is in its eighth year of grant making and will be making grants in the field of Civil Society. The Grants Focus this year is building resiliency of youth living in vulnerable communities of the San Diego region by supporting community action programs which help middle-school-age youth develop positive skills and behaviors. The deadline for submitting proposal applications was December 5, 2007. Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2007-2008 Grants Cycle. Submitted proposals will be reviewed by the Grants Committee with some organizations receiving site visits in the spring. A final vote of the membership will determine the organizations receiving our grant funds this year. Grants will be awarded at our Annual Grants Celebration on Tuesday, June 3. Beginning in the fall of 2008 we will be publishing our guidelines and application for projects in the focus area of Employment & Economic Development. The San Diego Teachers' Fund“Making a Difference One Classroom at a Time”
Though few would dispute the importance of providing our children with the highest quality of education, school funding is still in jeopardy. Year-after-year teachers reach deep into their own pockets to provide students with the resources they need to succeed. The San Diego Teachers' Fund K-6 Program provides mini-grants to San Diego County’s elementary public school teachers for the development and implementation of innovative classroom projects. In 2001, the Arts in the Classroom Program was created to provide grants to high school arts teachers when funds are insufficient or unavailable. As part of the grant, teachers are encouraged to share their projects with their colleagues.
