Board
17 Carlsbad residents currently comprise the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation Board of Directors, overseeing work product and processes.
Members
Individuals or businesses may
become members of the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation. Members vote each year for the local projects they deem most worthy of funding. While donations are encouraged, there is no fundraising, event planning, or volunteering required of donor members.
Committees
Members are encouraged to
participate on committees. Current opportunities include the grants, membership and marketing, events and legacy committees.
Allocation of Funds
- Each year, half the membership financial commitment is allocated for local grant making. This non-endowment fund is charged a fee of 1.5 percent.
- The other half is allocated to the permanent endowment fund, minus a fee of 1.0 percent
